Privacy Policy
Last updated 14 October 2026
The short version: you can read every page on LuminCVE without an account. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are useful and Google AdSense to pay for the site. If you sign up for alerts, we keep your email address and your preferences, and nothing else.

- 2. Cookies
- 3. Google Analytics 4
- 4. Google AdSense

1. What we collect
- Alert subscribers: your email address, the alert types you picked (daily digest, critical alerts, newsletter, offers), the time you signed up and confirmed, and the IP address you signed up from. We keep the IP as a record of your consent.
- Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, user agent, URL, time) kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
- Searches: CVE ids and keywords you search for are processed to answer the request. We don't tie them to you.
3. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, see which pages people read and find out how they got here. GA4 doesn't log or store full IP addresses. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. To opt out everywhere, use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
4. Google AdSense
Ads on LuminCVE are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ads Settings or opt out of many third-party ad vendors at aboutads.info.
5. Your email address
We use double opt-in: nothing is sent until you click the confirmation link. After that we only send the alert types you chose. We don't sell, rent or share your address with advertisers.
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all mail immediately. If you'd like your record deleted entirely, email us and we'll remove it. Unconfirmed sign-ups are not used for anything.
Subscriber data lives in our database on our hosting provider's servers, and mail goes out through its email service.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and object to how we use it. Email contact@lumincve.com and we'll reply within 30 days.
7. Children
LuminCVE is a tool for IT professionals and isn't aimed at anyone under 16.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced to subscribers.
