- CWE-862
Impact
Authenticated space administrators can assign users to unauthorized spaces and break tenant isolation. They only need low-privilege space administrator access to exploit the flaw.
Root cause
The import flow lacks a readRight() authorization check when processing user-space assignments via spaceAffectList in the join INSERT operation.
Affected systems
Omnispace Agora Project versions before 26.10.0
CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N
Fix & remediation
Upgrade Omnispace Agora Project to version 26.10.0 or later. If patching immediately is not possible, restrict untrusted users from possessing space administrator privileges.
AI-suggested. Run it in staging first and check it against the vendor advisory. Why?
NVD description
Omnispace Agora Project before 26.10.0 contains a broken access control vulnerability that allows a space administrator to assign users into spaces outside their authority because the spaceAffectList affectation was performed without verifying the caller's rights to the target space. Attackers can exploit the missing readRight() check in the import flow's join INSERT to break tenant isolation and manipulate user-space assignments across unauthorized spaces.
