- CWE-89
Impact
Authenticated attackers can read or modify the underlying database by triggering second-order SQL injection. They only need low-privilege network access to an account on the Agora Project instance.
Root cause
The _idCategoryFilter parameter is saved directly to the session and later concatenated into a raw SQL query inside app/Common/MdlCategory.php without parameterization.
Affected systems
Omnispace Agora Project versions before 26.10.0
CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N
Fix & remediation
Upgrade Omnispace Agora Project to version 26.10.0 or later. No interim workaround is documented, so restrict access to untrusted users until patched.

NVD description
Omnispace Agora Project before 26.10.0 contains a second-order SQL injection vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to inject malicious SQL via the _idCategoryFilter parameter, which is persisted into the session and later concatenated into a SQL statement without parameterization. Attackers can store a malicious payload that executes when the filter is subsequently applied in app/Common/MdlCategory.php, leading to unauthorized database access or manipulation.
