Impact
Authenticated remote attackers with low-privilege accounts can compromise system security and potentially access or overwrite unauthorized files. They only need valid user credentials on the QNAP device.
Root cause
The application unsafely follows UNIX symbolic links, permitting file access outside intended directory boundaries.
Affected systems
QuMagie versions prior to 2.9.2
