Impact

Root cause
Improper input validation on the setSWMProfile parameter in /cgi-bin/mainfunction.cgi enables path traversal.
Affected systems
DrayTek Vigor2960 1.5.1.6 Revision 8218 (End of Support product).
CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:L
Fix & remediation
Upgrade firmware to version 1.5.1.7 or newer if available. If patching or replacing the End-of-Support device cannot be done immediately, restrict management interface access by blocking HTTP/HTTPS access from untrusted networks and the WAN.
