Impact
Remote, unauthenticated attackers can gain full super administrator control over the site by logging in via POST /api/auth/login. They only need network access to solve the captcha and use hardcoded default credentials.
Root cause
The application database seed script installs a default super administrator account named 'flycms' with a known static password 'admin123'.
Affected systems
FlyCms through commit edfdf724
CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Fix & remediation
No fixed release is documented. Immediately change the password for the 'flycms' super admin account or delete the account, and block external access to the /api/auth/login endpoint until rotated.
