CWE-1392

Impact

Unauthenticated attackers can gain full administrator control over all protected webapi routes. They only need network access to the ai-apm-web login endpoint to submit hard-coded credentials.

Root cause

The application ships with hard-coded default credentials (admin/Databuff@123) built directly into the user management service.

Affected systems

DataBuff ai-apm-web through 0.1.10

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H

Fix & remediation

Fixed version is not listed in the advisory. Change or disable the default admin credentials immediately, or block network access to the /webapi/api/v1/auth/login endpoint using an upstream reverse proxy or firewall.

NVD description

DataBuff ai-apm-web through 0.1.10 contains a hard-coded default credentials vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to gain administrator access using the built-in admin/Databuff@123 account. Attackers can POST these credentials to /webapi/api/v1/auth/login to obtain an administrator token and access all protected /webapi routes.
