CWE-306

Impact

Unauthenticated remote attackers can read internal server logs, environment paths, and login IPs, or delete episode data and purge audit history. All they need is network access to the server's API interface.

Root cause

Multiple API routes under /api/ui omit the get_current_user dependency, exposing administrative endpoints without authentication checks.

Affected systems

Misaka Danmu Server through 2.8.9

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:L

Fix & remediation

Upgrade to a version newer than 2.8.9 once available. If you cannot patch immediately, block external network access to the /api/ui path via a reverse proxy or firewall.

AI-suggested. Run it in staging first and check it against the vendor advisory. Why?

NVD description

Misaka Danmu Server through 2.8.9 contains a missing authentication vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to access audit, diagnostics, data-check, scan-index and health routes under /api/ui lacking the get_current_user dependency. Attackers can read audit logs with login IPs, server logs and environment paths, delete episode rows, clear media-server mappings, and wipe audit history.
