Impact

Authenticated users with read-only query access can enable or disable any alarm configuration by ID, letting them silence critical device alerts across the platform.

Root cause

The AlarmConfigController _enable and _disable endpoints omit the required save action authorization annotations.

Affected systems

JetLinks Community through 2.10.0

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N

Fix & remediation

Upgrade to a patched version beyond 2.10.0 once released, or restrict network access to the /alarm/config/{id}/_enable and /alarm/config/{id}/_disable endpoints via reverse proxy or WAF for non-admin roles.

AI-suggested. Run it in staging first and check it against the vendor advisory. Why?

NVD description

JetLinks Community through 2.10.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability that allows users with only query access to enable or disable any alarm configuration. Because the AlarmConfigController _enable and _disable endpoints lack the save action annotation, attackers can toggle alarms by id to silence alerts for monitored devices.
