Impact

Authenticated attackers can execute arbitrary SQL queries to exfiltrate sensitive data from the database. They only need network access and low-privileged user credentials.

Root cause

Missing input validation across certain endpoints allows raw SQL injection via crafted requests.

Affected systems

Frappe ERPNext before 15.98.0 and 16.x before 16.6.0

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N

Fix & remediation

Upgrade Frappe ERPNext to version 15.98.0, 16.6.0, or later. No interim mitigation is documented; restrict network access to trusted users until patched.

shell
$ bench update --apps erpnext
