Root cause

Certain endpoints fail to enforce authorization checks on production record modification requests.

Affected systems

Frappe ERPNext before 15.112.0 and 16.x before 16.23.0

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N

Fix & remediation

Upgrade Frappe ERPNext to version 15.112.0, 16.23.0, or later. No interim mitigation is documented, so restrict untrusted user access or prioritize patching.

shell
$ bench update --apps erpnext
