CWE-89

Impact

Authenticated attackers can extract sensitive database records via crafted requests to vulnerable endpoints. They require low-privilege network access and valid user credentials.

Root cause

Multiple endpoints fail to validate and sanitize user input before passing it into database queries, allowing SQL injection.

Affected systems

Frappe ERPNext versions before 15.106.0 and 16.x versions before 16.16.0

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N

Fix & remediation

Upgrade Frappe ERPNext to version 15.106.0, 16.16.0, or newer. If you cannot upgrade immediately, restrict network access to trusted internal users or temporarily disable non-essential user accounts.

shell
$ bench update --apps erpnext

AI-suggested. Run it in staging first and check it against the vendor advisory. Why?
