Impact

Authenticated attackers can view unauthorized financial data. They only need standard network access and a low-privileged user account.

Root cause

Specific endpoints fail to enforce role-based access control checks before returning sensitive data.

Affected systems

Frappe ERPNext versions before 15.121.3 and 16.x versions before 16.35.0

CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N

Fix & remediation

Upgrade ERPNext to 15.121.3, 16.35.0, or later. No interim workaround is documented, so restrict access for unneeded low-privileged accounts until patched.

shell
$ bench update --apps erpnext

AI-suggested. Run it in staging first and check it against the vendor advisory. Why?
