Impact
A compromised or malicious role administrator can gain privileged membership, access, and profile-editing capabilities in other organizations. They need network access and an existing role administrator account to send crafted assignment requests.
Root cause
Admidio fails to validate organization boundaries in members_assignment.php, accepting arbitrary role UUIDs from foreign organizations.
Affected systems
Admidio 4.3.2 through 4.3.17 and 5.0.0 before 5.0.15
CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N
Fix & remediation
Upgrade to Admidio 5.0.15 or later. If patching immediately is not possible, restrict access to members_assignment.php or revoke role administrator privileges across untrusted tenants.
