- CWE-89
Impact
Authenticated low-privileged users can dump usernames, emails, and password hashes from the database via SQL injection. Attackers only need valid login credentials and network access to the application.
Root cause
The TagsDataServlet directly concatenates the user-supplied firstLetter parameter into a Hibernate SQL query without sanitization or parameterized bindings.
Affected systems
LogicalDOC Community Edition through 9.3
CVSS v3.1 · CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Fix & remediation
Upgrade to a version past 9.3 containing commit 8428bfb93f89ab5773019299d17d643c075c4aee, or restrict access to the /data/tags endpoint at the reverse proxy if patching cannot occur immediately.

NVD description
LogicalDOC Community Edition through 9.3 contains a sql injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users to execute crafted SQL via the firstLetter parameter of TagsDataServlet. Low-privileged attackers can inject UNION SELECT statements returned in the XML tag list to read usernames, email addresses and password hashes from ld_user.
